West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee condemned the expulsion of her party MP Mahua Moitra from the Lok Sabha. She called it a blatant act of vendetta politics by the BJP.
Moitra was expelled after she was found guilty in the ‘cash-for-query’ scandal. “BJP killed democracy. Mahua will win the battle. People will give a befitting reply. In the upcoming election, the BJP will lose,” Banerjee said. Sudip Bandyopadhyay, the head of the TMC, voiced his disapproval of Mahua Moitra’s removal from the Lok Sabha. He said that justice had been denied to Moitra.
