All liquor shops will remain closed in Uttarakhand ahead of Ram Lalla’s Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024. In this regard, the government of Uttarakhand has declared that liquor shops across the state will be closed on the occasion of Pran Pratishtha.
The Uttarakhand Excise Commissioner has directed all the district administrations and said that on January 22, all the liquor shops, bars, departmental stores, etc. will be closed in the state. In addition to that, on January 11, the Uttar Pradesh Excise Commissioner directed the entire district administration of the state to ensure that all the liquor shops in the state would remain closed on January 22, 2024.
According to the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, auspicious Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya Temple will officially begin on January 16, 2024, a week before the main grand ceremony. Notably, the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Temple will be conducted on January 22, 2024. All necessary arrangements will be set up for 10,000–15,000 people. However, a priest from Varanasi, Lakshmi Kant Dixit, will perform the main rituals of the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22.
