Kolkata Hospital Ex-Principal Used To Sell Unclaimed Deadbodies!
Akhtar Ali, a former deputy superintendent of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, has made serious allegations against the institution's former principal, Dr. Sandip Ghosh.
Akhtar Ali, a former deputy superintendent of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, has made serious allegations against the institution’s former principal, Dr. Sandip Ghosh. Ali claims that Ghosh was involved in several illegal activities, including the sale of unclaimed bodies and trafficking biomedical waste and medical supplies to Bangladesh.
Ali stated that Dr. Ghosh was engaged in the business of selling unclaimed dead bodies, for which a case was reportedly registered against him. He also alleged that Ghosh trafficked biomedical waste, selling it to individuals associated with his security team, who would then transport it to Bangladesh.
Despite raising concerns about these illegal activities with the state vigilance commission and participating in an inquiry against Ghosh, Ali claims that no action was taken against the former principal, even after an investigation found him guilty. Furthermore, Ali reported that he submitted an inquiry report to the state health department but was transferred from RG Kar Hospital on the same day.
The Kolkata Police have since initiated a probe into the alleged financial irregularities involving Dr. Sandip Ghosh at the hospital, following the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the matter.
