Kerala CMPinarayi Vijayan wrote to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and urged him to take immediate action on safety violations after four workers were killed by a train near Shoranur. The workers, engaged in track cleaning for a railway contractor, were struck by Kerala Express on November 2. Vijayan stressing that safety measures for contract staff are not being adequately enforced.
