No Plan To Increase Margins For Ration Shop Dealers: Pralhad Joshi

Food Minister Pralhad Joshi confirmed that the Centre has no plans to raise margins for fair price shop (FPS) dealers under the Targeted Public Distribution System (TPDS). While the government sets margin rates, states can adjust them. The Centre provides assistance for intra-state foodgrain movement, but state governments manage the operational aspects, including dealer margins and licensing.
