Congress Likely To Declare 3rd List Of Candidates Soon

The Congress party is likely to declare its third list of candidates for Lok Sabha polls today. Earlier on Tuesday, Congress national chief Mallikarjun Kharge chaired the key meeting of the Central Election Committee (CEC) to finalize its candidates for the remaining seats.

Along with Kharge, Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and others joined the Congress Working Committee meeting held at AICC HQ in Delhi.

However, the Congress party finalized the names of candidates for 12 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal. It is known that a total of 42 Lok Sabha seats are in West Bengal.

So far, Congress has declared 82 candidates for the Lok Sabha polls. On March 8, the Congress revealed the names of 39 candidates in its first list.

According to the ECI, the Lok Sabha Elections will be conducted in seven phases across the country, starting on April 19 and ending on June 1, 2024. The counting of Lok Sabha polls will be declared on June 4, 2024.
