Chandrababu Complains To EC Against YSRCP For Manipulation Of Voter List
The TDP and the JanaSena have raised allegations that the ruling YSR Congress party is engaged in the creation of a fabricated voter list in the state.
The former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu, has raised a complaint against the ruling YSR Congress Party for creating a false voter list at the State Election Commission today. During the meeting with the State Election Commission officials, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu was accompanied by JanaSena Party supremo Pawan Kalyan.
The TDP and the JanaSena have raised allegations that the ruling YSR Congress party is engaged in the creation of a fabricated voter list in the state. Meanwhile, the opposition parties expressed concern over the potential misuse of such tactics, emphasizing the importance of fair and transparent electoral processes. However, the ruling YSR Congress party has been accused of attempting to dismantle opposition parties without actively participating in state affairs.
The Election Commission delegation led by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar has begun a 2-day tour to Andhra Pradesh state today. Meanwhile, the ECI team visited the state ahead of the upcoming legislative assembly polls and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh. However, the polls are likely to be held in April or May 2024.
