BJP Doing Politics On Kolkata Murder: Akhilesh Yadav Supports CM Mamata

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav criticized the BJP for engaging in political opportunism in the wake of the tragic rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata. He expressed confidence in West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s ability to handle the situation, stating, “She is a woman herself, she understands the pain of a woman.”

Yadav accused the BJP of exploiting the incident for political gain, asserting, “The BJP is doing politics in this matter, which it should not. Doctors are protesting over this incident but the BJP is doing politics.” He also criticized the BJP for remaining silent on the self-immolation of a Dalit woman near Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s residence in Lucknow.

Regarding the Allahabad High Court’s directive to prepare a fresh selection list for the 69,000 teachers’ recruitment case, Yadav expressed optimism that the aggrieved candidates would now receive justice and the alleged discrimination by the government would be rectified.
