Kakani Defends YSRCP’s Power Purchase Policies, Cites Transparency

Former minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy defended the YSR Congress government’s power purchase policies, clarifying that deals were made with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), not Adani Group. He highlighted that the YSRCP government secured power at a competitive rate of Rs 2.49 per unit, much lower than the Rs 5.10 to Rs 6.99 per unit paid under the previous TDP government.
