Flood Alert: 14 Gates Lifted At Nagarjunasagar Dam

With floodwaters rising, 14 radial crest gates of the Nagarjunasagar reservoir, located between Andhra Pradesh’s Palnadu district and Telangana’s Nalgonda district, have been opened to release water downstream. While 1,67,440 cusecs flow into the ocean from the Srisailam dam, a combined 1,48,786 cusecs is being released into the Krishna River through the gates.
