Social Media Platforms Urge Delay Of Australian Ban On Under-16 Users

Social media platforms, represented by advocate Sunita Bose, have requested Australia to delay the proposed ban on users under 16 for at least a year. The ban, part of new legislation, could result in fines for platforms not preventing children from accessing sites. Bose argued for  evaluation of age-assurance technologies before implementing the law, warning it could push children to unsafe online spaces.
