Iran Conflict Leaves Pakistan Caught Between Allies

The Iran-Israel war has placed Pakistan in a difficult position due to its defence pact with Saudi Arabia. If Iran attacks Saudi interests, Islamabad may be expected to help Riyadh militarily. However, Pakistan fears regional backlash, domestic sectarian tensions and economic strain, so it is trying to balance ties with both sides while avoiding involvement in the conflict.
