Nobel Laureate Machado Credits Gandhi For Inspiring Democracy

Nobel Peace Prize laureate Maria Corina Machado stated that Mahatma Gandhi inspired Venezuela’s democracy movement. She emphasized that “peace is not weakness” and highlighted Gandhi’s example in fighting for justice. Machado also said that achieving peace requires freedom, and attaining freedom demands strength and strong determination.
