From July 2026, Uttarakhand will abolish the Madrasa Board as part of a new minority education reform. All madrasa institutions will come under a unified state authority for regulation and affiliation. The move aims to standardise curriculum, bring minority schools into the mainstream education system, and ensure uniform academic oversight across institutions in the state.
