Former AP CM Jagan cited the Comptroller and Auditor General of India report while discussing state’s finances. He said total expenditure in 2023-24 reached ₹2,36,486 cr against revenue of ₹1,70,767 cr, creating a ₹32,680 cr revenue deficit and ₹62,719 cr fiscal deficit. He also noted spending rose to ₹2,49,096 cr in the first year after CM CBN assumed power.
