Radical Islamic Group Calls For Ban On Durga Puja Holidays & Idol Immersions

As Durga Puja nears, radical Islamic groups in Bangladesh have cautioned the Hindu minority against publicly celebrating the festival or engaging in idol worship. Insaf Keemkari Chhatra-Janta protested in Dhaka against the use of a local playground for celebrations. They demanded restrictions on Durga Puja festivities, citing the use of govt resources for religious activities.
