Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat has taken additional charge as the Governor of Maharashtra following the resignation of Radhakrishnan, who was elected Vice President. The Centre issued orders assigning Acharya the dual responsibility. Appointed as Gujarat’s Governor on July 22, 2019, Acharya has already completed his 5-year term in office.
AP government officials have announced a drop in the flood level at the Srisailam reservoir in Nandyal district, leading to the closure of all crest gates.
