Subramanya Shashti, known as Skanda Shashti, will be celebrated tomorrow, Nov 26, as a solemn day in honour of Lord Murugan. The right-angled triangular saffron ‘Dharma Dhwaj atop Ayodhya’s Temple features a radiant sun symbol praising Lord Ram’s solar lineage, with the sacred syllable ‘Om’ inscribed at its center, symbolizing cosmic energy. The flag, rooted in Ram Rajya values, represents sacrifice, unity, virtue and enlightenment as it soars above the Shikhar.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said the saffron flag atop Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir represents the triumph of Dharma. He noted that rebuilding the temple required immense effort, not only over 500 years but especially in the past three decades.
