Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday approved a resolution from CM Omar Abdullah’s cabinet, which unanimously called for restoring the Union Territory’s statehood. Officials stated that this restoration is seen as the beginning of a healing process aimed at reclaiming constitutional rights and safeguarding the identity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
