The Indian Space Research Organization’s (ISRO) tableau is participating in this year’s ‘Republic Day Parade.’ Which will showcase the success of ‘Chandrayaan-3’ as its primary highlight. The tableau showcases the historic Chandrayaan-3 launching and also its successful landing on the south pole of the moon.
The landing site, known as Shiv Shakti Point, is also highlighted in the tableau. On August 23, the Chandrayaan-3 lander module made history by being the first nation to land a module on the moon’s South Pole. India achieved unprecedented achievement in 2023 with the gentle landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon’s South Pole and the launch of Aditya-L1, the country’s first solar mission.
India now plans to accomplish the Gaganyaan Mission in 2024–2025, establish ‘Bharatiya Antariksha Station’ by 2035, and send the first Indian astronaut to the moon by 2040, among other goals. The portrayal of Lord Ram at the beginning of the Uttar Pradesh tableau for the Republic Parade, however, is its high point.
In addition to Lord Ram, the recently constructed Meerut Rapid Rail serves as a visual representation of the development efforts made by the UP government. The ‘BrahMos missile’ is also depicted in the tableau because the Uttar Pradesh government is building a factory there to produce the missiles’ next generation.
The Republic Day parade will feature a total of twenty-five tableaux, comprising nine from central government ministries and sixteen from different States and Union territories.
