With the additional cases, India now has 4,50,12,484 coronavirus cases overall since the epidemic in January 2020. The number of deaths in India from COVID-19 instances has increased to 5,33,358, with seven more deaths occurring in the past day.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research’s official report, 41,797 tests were performed on December 29, 2023. As of December 28, India had reported 145 new variant cases of the COVID-19 sub-variant JN.1.
