The advent of foldable and flip smartphones has sparked a surge in technological innovation, with major brands introducing various designs. Recently, Google released its second foldable device, and Samsung has continued its playful jabs at Apple, questioning when it will “fold.”
However, Huawei is poised to make a groundbreaking move with its development of a triple-fold smartphone, potentially the first of its kind to hit the global market. According to reports, Huawei’s CEO Richard Yu has been seen with the tri-fold device and discussed it at a recent event, hinting that it could be unveiled next month.
While official details are still pending, the device has already generated significant buzz. A viral image of Yu working with the device revealed it features a centered punch-hole camera and two creases due to its unique three-hinge design, contrasting with the single hinge seen in other foldables like the Huawei Mate X5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The device, resembling a slim tablet when unfolded, is rumored to have a 10-inch screen and be powered by a Kirin 9-series processor. Speculation suggests it will be part of the Mate series and may launch before the delayed Mate 70.
