Following months of speculation, the company has sent out invites featuring a cryptic message, “It is Glowtime,” sparking intrigue about its significance. The event will take place at Apple Park and will be live-streamed online at 10:30 PM IST for Indian audiences, accessible via Apple’s official YouTube channel.
The iPhone 16 series is expected to include four models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The standard and Plus models are likely to feature minor upgrades, including a new chipset, a larger battery, and a vertical rear camera layout while retaining previous display and camera setups. In contrast, the Pro models are rumored to receive substantial enhancements, such as significant camera upgrades, a slimmer design, a larger display with minimal bezels, and improved battery life. It remains unclear if faster charging will be introduced.
Price leaks suggest that the iPhone 16 base model could start at $799 (approximately ₹67,100 in India), with the Plus model at $899 (around ₹75,500). The Pro model might be priced at $1,099 (about ₹92,300), and the Pro Max at $1,199 (around ₹1,00,700). Additionally, Apple is expected to unveil new watches and AirPods at the event and may hold another event in October 2024 to introduce new Macs.
