Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL) plans to increase its annual crude oil import deal with Iraq to 100,000 barrels per day (bpd) in 2025, a 43% rise from this year. Currently, HPCL imports 70,000 bpd of Iraqi oil in 2024. The increase follows the commissioning of residue upgradation units at its Vizag refinery, expanding its capacity to 300,000 bpd.
