During his visit, President Macron emphasized the enduring connection between France and India, stating, “Long live the friendship between France and India.” He delivered a speech at the banquet hosted by President Droupadi Murmu, expressing sincere gratitude for the warm reception his delegation received on the occasion of the 75th Republic Day.
Macron acknowledged the unique bond shared by the two nations, transcending time and values. He thanked everyone for the hospitality, reflected on the developments since his last state visit five years ago, and expressed joy at returning to India after the successful G20 summit. The French president also honored the participation of French soldiers alongside their Indian counterparts, emphasizing the significance of this collaboration.
