CLOSING BELL: Stock Markets End 5-Day Winning Streak, Finishes In Red

Indian stock markets gave up their 5-day winning streak to settle in red after RBI MPC announced to keep the repo rate unchanged at 6.5%. Sensex settled lower by merely 56.74 points or 0.07% at 81,709.12. Nifty ended at 24,677.80, up 30.60 points or 0.12%. Broader markets outperformed the benchmarks, with Midcap and Smallcap indices ending higher by 0.45% and 0.82%, respectively.
