Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over a deadly blast at a fireworks unit in Mundathikode, Thrissur, Kerala, which killed at least eight people and injured several others. He announced an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh for each deceased person’s family and Rs 50,000 for the injured from the PM National Relief Fund as rescue efforts continued.
