WAQF Amendment Bill To Be Tabled During Budget Session

As per sources, Waqf Amendment Bill is now likely to be tabled during the Budget Session in February 2025. The bill was deferred to the next Parliament Session due to heated debates and disruptions within the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) formed on the bill. The JPC has been often devolved into heated exchanges between ruling BJP members and Opposition leaders.
