EAM Jaishankar Meets Veterans & Indian Community Leaders In Perth

During his visit, EAM expressed his gratitude through his official ‘X’ handle post. On Saturday, the External Affairs Minister held talks with his counterpart, Penny Wong. The EAM Jaishankar is on a two-day visit to Perth. There, he attended the ‘7th Indian Ocean Conference.’
After this conference, EAM stated that the discussions were held on India-Australia ties, Indian Ocean architecture, and our shared interests in the Indo-Pacific. The Conference is a flagship deliberative event for countries in the Indian Ocean Region, hosted yearly by the Ministry of External Affairs in collaboration with the India Foundation.
The conference is co-hosted by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the S Rajaratnam School of International Studies in Singapore, and the Perth-US Asia Centre. The 7th Indian Ocean Conference brings together significant leaders and delegates to discuss important regional concerns.
