A thick fog layer covered New Delhi as the weather conditions and pollution continued to be worse. The residents of Delhi are complaining of health issues like cough, cold, throat irritation, chest tightness, low oxygen level, burning sensation in the eyes, and high fever. Following this, doctors advised people to avoid going outside during dense fog in the morning and evening.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has also predicted that the temperature will continue to dip for another few days in Delhi. The report also mentioned that, due to dense fog, people are also facing problems like chest infections and pneumonia.
Doctors noted that several asthmatic patients are suffering from problems like difficulty breathing, and the number of children’s visits to hospitals is increasing due to these severe health issues. Meanwhile, the number of patients in the hospital suffering from problems related to an increasing cold has increased by 7 to 10%.
