Delhi Sees 38% Rise In Garbage Fires And Open Burning

Delhi has experienced a 38% increase in garbage fires and open burning incidents in October and November compared to the same period last year. Data from the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) shows a significant rise in fire-related calls linked to open garbage burning. In October, there were 662 calls, up from 457 in 2022. By November 17, 544 calls were recorded, compared to 418 last year.
