The Chhattisgarh Cabinet led by CM Vishnu Deo Sai approved key decisions on the Uniform Civil Code and women’s empowerment. It formed a high-level committee headed by retired Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai to draft the UCC after consultations. The government also announced 50% concession in property registration fees for women to boost ownership.
