Former HC Judge Becomes Jharkhand Lokayukta

Retired Jharkhand High Court judge Justice Amitav Kumar Gupta today was sworn in as the state’s Lokayukta at Lok Bhavan. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar administered the oath in the presence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and other dignitaries. The post had been vacant for years. Gupta was appointed on April 16 after earlier court directions.
