The Gujarat government, led by CM Bhupendra Patel, has allocated Rs 60 crore to set up bio-CNG plants through cooperative milk societies. Around 10 plants will convert cow dung, agricultural residues, and food waste into compressed biogas for transport and industry, aiming to boost clean energy, strengthen the dairy sector, and support rural self-reliance.
