Justice Ranjana Desai To Lead 8th Pay Commission

The Cabinet has approved the terms of reference for the 8th Central Pay Commission, which will revise pay for 50 lakh government employees and pensions for 65 lakh retirees. Headed by Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai, the panel will submit its report within 18 months, considering fiscal prudence, economic conditions, and state government financial implications.
