Opposition MPs Seek Impeachment Of High Court Judge

Opposition MPs, led by SP’s Kapil Sibal, submitted an impeachment motion in the Rajya Sabha against Allahabad High Court Judge Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav for his controversial remarks supporting governance based on majority opinion. The motion, signed by 55 members, calls for his removal after his comments at a VHP event endorsing a Uniform Civil Code and majority-based laws.
