Delhi Electricity Rates Likely To Rise From April

Electricity tariffs in Delhi may increase from April as the govt prepares to pay over Rs 38,000 crore in dues to DISCOMs, BRPL, BYPL, and TPDDL. While the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission confirmed the outstanding regulatory assets, the govt plans subsidies to reduce the impact on consumers, following a seven-year recovery plan mandated by the SC.
