The Chennai Corporation has collected ₹1,946 crore in property tax and ₹452 crore in professional tax since April 2025. Notices have been issued to around 200,000 defaulters. With over 1.35 million property owners paying, a 5% rebate is offered for timely payments. Citizens are urged to clear dues before the March 31 deadline.
