Shimla recorded its coldest April night in 46 years at 3.6°C, said India Meteorological Department. Continuous rain and snowfall caused a sharp drop in temperatures. Daytime also stayed unusually low. Rainfall is above normal. Weather is likely to remain mostly clear, with light rain or snow expected only in higher areas ahead.
