Chemistry Nobel 2025 Awarded For MOF Innovation

Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson, and Omar M. Yaghi have won the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for developing metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). These molecular structures have large porous spaces allowing gases and chemicals to pass through. MOFs have applications in carbon capture, water harvesting from air, gas storage, and catalyzing chemical reactions.
