Kolkata Resident Allegedly Assaulted By Mob In Dhaka Over Hindu Identity

Sayan Ghosh, a 21-year-old resident of Kolkata, alleged that he was assaulted by a violent mob in Dhaka during his recent visit to Bangladesh. Ghosh, who traveled to the country on November 23 to visit a friend, claimed the assault took place on November 26 after he revealed his Hindu identity to some locals. He hails from the Belgharia area in Kolkata’s northern suburbs.
