Kerala police arrested a 45-year-old man in connection with the theft of over ₹1 crore and 267 sovereigns of gold. All of it was stolen from a rice trader’s, Ashraf, residence in Kannur. The accused, Lijeesh, is a Gulf returnee and welder. He confessed to the crime during interrogation and was arrested subsequently.
