Bolsonaro Admits Trying To Break Ankle Monitor Out Of “Paranoia”

Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro told authorities that medicine-induced “paranoia” caused him to violate his electronic ankle monitor, insisting he never intended to escape house arrest. He claimed he hallucinated a wire inside the device. His detention was ordered by SC Justice Alexandre de Moraes, and a custody judge upheld his arrest as lawful.
