Sresan Pharma Owner Arrested Over Cough Syrup Deaths

Sresan Pharma owner S. Ranganathan, maker of Coldrif Syrup linked to 20 child deaths in Madhya Pradesh, was arrested and will appear before Chennai court before being brought to Chhindwara. The locally sold syrup contained 48.6% toxic diethylene glycol, nearly 500 times the safe limit. Tamil Nadu plans criminal action against the manufacturer.
