Supreme Court Clarifies Aadhaar Role In Voter List

The Supreme Court ruled that Aadhaar can be used to verify identity for voter list inclusion but not as proof of citizenship. It will serve as the 12th accepted ID under the voter registration process. Authorities may verify Aadhaar’s authenticity. The EC will issue guidelines to implement this in Bihar’s voter roll revision process.
