Only 21+ Eligible For TG Local Body Polls: Election Commission

The Telangana State Election Commission clarified that only individuals aged 21 or above on the date of nomination scrutiny are eligible to contest in local body elections. Village and Anganwadi workers, government employees, and heads of religious bodies are ineligible. However, employees of Singareni, TGSRTC, and ration dealers are permitted to contest.
