President Murmu Appoints New Governors For 9 States & UTs
As part of this, new governors have been appointed for the states of Telangana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya, Maharashtra, Assam and Punjab.
President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday appointed new Governors for 9 states and UTs, and she has issued official orders appointing 9 Governors on Saturday night.
As part of this, new governors have been appointed for the states of Telangana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya, Maharashtra, Assam and Punjab.
As part of this, Jishnu Dev Varma, who was the former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, will be the new governor of Telangana. Lakshman Prasad Acharya has been appointed as the new governor of Assam with the additional charge of Manipur state.
Gulab Chand Kataria has replaced Banwarilal Purohit as the new governor of Punjab. In this order, Acharya has replaced Kataria, who has also been appointed as the new administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
BJP senior leader Om Prakash Mathur will be the new governor of Sikkim. Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan has been appointed as the new governor of Maharashtra.
Former Union Labour and Employment Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar is all set to become the new governor of Jharkhand state in place of CP Radhakrishnan.
Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, who is the veteran BJP leader from Maharashtra has been appointed the governor of Rajasthan. I this order, former MP from Assam Ramen Deka has been appointed as the Governor of Chhattisgarh, and CH Vijayashankar, who is the former MP from Mysore, will become the Meghalaya governor.
