Clash of Titans – Chiranjeevi Fan Movie with Balakrishna

Daku Maharaj as a heavy mass commercial film is creating waves already. But another unprecedented attraction in the form total disagreement in ideologies have started raking up the hearts of cine lovers at large. Naga Vamsy the ace producer who is known to have made box office hits in the past is a hardcore fan of Balakrishna. On the other side of the coin, director of the film, Bobby is a born fan and a fanatic follower of Megastar Chiranjeevi. Only the last year, he embellished the career of Megastar Chiranjeevi with an outstanding hit, Waltair Veerayya. In front of the media, Bobby has many times acknowledged how he grew up by being caught up in the realms of unending love for Megastar right from his childhood. Of course, he did not relent and further exhibited a photograph of himself with Megastar and at length described how he won an opportunity that fetched him the photograph.

Of course, his boundless affection helped him clinch clean hit which contributed to his culmination to the pinnacle of glory as a director of modern times. On the other hand, Naga Vamsy is never a reticent man and savored to disclose his affection for Balakrishna, expressing the height of his happiness for getting a chance to produce a film with his lovely hero.

That is all okay. But the discussion now spirals around the content driven by the two, as a maker and as the director. When Naga Vamsy announced the project with Balakrishna under the cap of director Bobby, all the eye brows rose in high volume of murmur. The exciting question is how Bobby can make a film with Balakrishna with a conviction to make it even bigger than Waltair Veerayya, that too, when Balayya is riding high on Box office.

The challenges before Bobby are widely uncountable. First is how he will convince the image of Balayya to thrill his fan base which is highly inflammable. Had he come out of the trance of Chiranjeevi? Could ne pitch a strong story line to Naga Vamsy that will raise the bar and keep the fan base of Balayya on cloud nine? There is a huge void between the images of Chiranjeevi and Balakrsihna. Their tones and tenors as heroes of a high order differ from that of each other. It is a razor’s edge for any director to bail out form the realms of his favorite hero and gear up the thrill of another hero on screen.

If Bobby as he proclaims that he is duly paid for overcoming the challenge showcases his skill of delivering a better hit with Balayaa, his celebrations will just thrash the skies above. But the hidden merit lies in Naga Vamsy’s tremendous hold on evaluating a story line. His abiding passion to make a film with favorite hero will not certainly allow him to compromise unless and until the director comes out with a durable story element. His unconvincing temperament in pouring out the budgets without an iota of compromise will also add fuel to the fire.
