Congress Announces First 42 Candidates For Assam Polls

The Congress released its first list of 42 candidates for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections. State chief Gaurav Gogoi will contest from Jorhat, while Debabrata Saikia will fight from Nazira. Former PCC president Ripun Bora is fielded from Barchalla. The polls for the 126-seat assembly are expected in April, with Congress out of power since 2016.
