On the occasion of Karthika Pournami, Shiva temples across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are bustling with devotees. Since early morning, devotees have taken holy baths, lit lamps, and performed abhishekam on Shivalingas. The temple premises are aglow with lamps, while bhajans and aartis create a devotional atmosphere, attracting large crowds.
Annabhishekam will be performed today at the Kanipakam Varasiddhi Vinayaka Swamy Temple in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district to mark the auspicious occasion of Kartika Pournami. In view of the special rituals, temple authorities announced that all Arjitha services scheduled between 4 am and 5 pm have been canceled to facilitate smooth conduct of the ceremony.
